Transporters feel the need to keep cows standing upright in order to pack as many animals into a truck as possible. This transportation almost always leads to a slaughterhouse. These journeys often last several days. There is no regard for the well-being of these cows because they are being sent off to die anyway. However, all living creatures deserve the right to live and die with dignity.
Not only are chili peppers used to control cows, but caravan drivers use other cruel manipulations too. Cows are often not allowed to drink or rest. They are beaten into moving on command, and tobacco is also used as an eye irritant. Sign the below petition to urge India’s government to outlaw cruel transportation methods of cattle and punish those who persist to the fullest extent of the law.
