CAMERA CACHEE..
Dear Walmart:
I am writing to you about the criminal animal abuse uncovered in your pork supply chain at a Seaboard Foods factory farm in Colorado.
As you know, the number of undercover investigations exposing horrific animal abuse at Walmart pork suppliers is growing. Hidden cameras have captured your workers maliciously punching and beating pigs, sick or injured animals left to suffer without proper veterinary care, and animals crammed in cages so small they couldn’t even turn around or lie down comfortably for nearly their entire lives.
This blatant cruelty to animals has no place in a civilized society. The abuse of pigs at your pork suppliers is absolutely unacceptable.
In the last few year, Nestlé, Starbucks, Costco, and many other major food providers have taken responsibility for the treatment of animals in their supply chains by implementing meaningful animal welfare requirements for their suppliers and engaging third-party auditors to ensure compliance.
