VICTOIRE!!! PETA A REUSSI A FOURNIR DES SIMULATEURS QUI REMPLACERONT LES ANIMAUX POUR DES EXPERIENCES

Thousands of dogs, pigs, goats, and sheep will be spared being cut apart and killed, thanks to an unprecedented donation from PETA of $1 million in advanced simulators to medical training programs in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.

As The New York Times reported, PETA has entered into a landmark partnership with medical simulation manufacturer Simulab to modernize surgical training in nine countries with a donation of 64 state-of-the-art TraumaMan simulators.

PETA's donation will fully replace the cruel and crude use of animals in Advanced Trauma Life Support courses at dozens of hospitals and universities throughout Bolivia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Mexico, Mongolia, Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago. Until now, these nine countries have had some 4,000 doctors crudely cut holes in the chests, throats, abdomens, and limbs of approximately 1,000 live dogs, goats, pigs, and sheep every year because of limited budgets that have prevented them from purchasing simulators.

PETA's donation—which is supported by our wonderful donors and a generous matching grant from the McGrath Family Foundation of San Diego—means that these programs will now exclusively use the superior TraumaMan simulator, which replicates a breathing, bleeding human torso and features realistic internal organs, ribs, and layers of skin and tissue.
