✦About the video: A family have taken a terrified German Shepherd dog and cruelly tied him up in their backyard, preparing to slaughter him, by cutting his throat while the dog is fully conscious and letting him bleed to death.
✦In Vietnam, people are allowed to slaughter animals in their backyard, including dogs, and in any way that they wish! There are no rules or restrictions. In my view, it is the largest and worst brutal slaughter of dogs I have seen, including from all other Asian countries.
✦"Thịt chó" is the popular vietnamese word for dog meat! In comparison of percentage with the population, Vietnam is the biggest dog meat eating population in the world! 5 million dogs are slaughtered very savagely and consumed each year!
◕According to Professor Tran Quoc Vuong, from the University of Vietnam, the roots of consuming dog meat began in popular beliefs with the sacrifices of dogs. It was the priority food of shaman,the sorcerer who sacrificed dogs at night, and due to this ancient traditional sacrifice, it is obvious no one feels guilty for eating dog meat.
