The Retreat finds the continued exploitation, abuse, bullying, violence against and murder of animals in today's society totally degrading and unacceptable.
We are pressing for a more enlightened world where humans remember their dignity and show
compassion and love to all others, regardless of sex, race, age, gender, disability or species.

Most people can identify with how it feels to have had your last chance, be it your last chance to make it work, revise for that exam, to say I love you, to give up that addiction..
We can all relate to the attached feelings of having let yourself down,
having let down others - be they ones we respect, love, admire, desire.
That moment when we know we’ve been told: “This is your last
chance”
and that moment when we know we’ve blown it.
Sending us in all directions, despair, anger, pain,
desperation - we
cry, we curse, we bark, we bark louder, we bite, we sink, we block. We
cry out in whatever way we can find to try and say what we
cannot
say.
At The Retreat Animal Rescue there is the space and atmosphere
for
healing and rehabilitation to take place.
