✦ABOUT THE VIDEO:
◕A new undercover investigation by Mercy For Animals Canada at a Quebec veal factory farm reveals baby calves crammed into crates barely larger than their own bodies, punched and kicked by workers, and left to suffer without proper veterinary care. the sickening cruelty footage was captured on hidden camera by an investigator with Mercy For Animals Canada. Workers violently kick, punch, and torment baby calves who are crammed into filthy wooden crates so small they can't even turn around or lie down comfortably for nearly their entire lives..
✦WHAT THE INVESTIGATION EXPOSED?:
◕Calves crammed into crates so small they couldn't walk or turn around
◕Workers violently kicking, punching, throwing, and tormenting calves
◕Sick and injured animals left to suffer without proper veterinary care

✦CRATE CRITICS..
-"This video provides clear evidence of deliberate institutionalized animal abuse in Canada's veal industry. Veal calves are shown imprisoned in narrow stalls on slatted floors. Many animals are chained so tightly that they can barely move or can only perform a few short movements, which they do repeatedly.”
John Sorenson, PhD
-"No animal should be so physically limited in its' movement. The calf can stand or lie in one place only. He can't turn around, lick his back, or stretch out. The chain around his neck ensures that he can't lie down flat (something that calves do naturally). Not surprisingly, stereotypies are common.”
Mary Richardson, DVM
-"Cows are highly intelligent and sentient, feeling beings, and it's clear that the calves in this video are suffering. Deep fear and pain can be seen in their eyes and in their behavior. Calves are just as sentient as dogs - we would never tolerate such abuse inflicted upon a dog.”
Marc Bekoff, PhD

✦✦THE MISERY OF CALVES IN THE FARM INDUSTRIES:
The calf is separated since he born from his mother. A calf can suck up to 16 times per day . In intensive farming , this strong need to stimulate more secretion of digestive hormones, is ignored. Its diet is made of a chemical mixture anemic making and causing in her flesh a pale pink color highly prized by gourmets. Chained by the neck in the dark in a narrow enclosure so that it can not take a step, or lick the calf does not even have enough room to lie down comfortably. To keep it alive during the brief months of her ordeal and to slaughterhouses , one must administer excessive doses of antibiotics . Like his father and his mother, the calf suffers chronically from " bovine diarrhea virus " ( BVDV ), but also blindness and respiratory problems.
◕Veal : A very Cruel Meal..
The veal industry is one of the most reprehensible of intensive animal agriculture. The calves are a by- product of the dairy industry; they are "manufactured" by " milk machines " - dairy cows. Females were raised to become dairy cows are confined and stuffed with synthetic hormones to increase growth and production and antibiotics to keep them alive in this unhealthy and unnatural environment in which they are confined . They are artificially inseminated and , after birth, are milked for several years until their production levels drop, then they would be slaughtered .
-Males are taken from their mothers shortly after birth. Some are killed after birth , others are raised in pens , a kind of minimum security prison and are sometimes chained . Most are for cages.
◕Confinement:
The calf cage restriction device wherein the wood continuously stays calf . It is so small (22 "x 54" ) that the calves can not turn around or even lie down or extend ; this is the ultimate imprisonment in agriculture. ( 1) Designed to prevent movement , the body does its job atrophy of muscles, thus producing tender veal and "gourmet" .
◕Time for Lunch
The calves are generally fed milk substitutes poor in iron and other essential nutrients . This scheme keeps the animals anemic and creates the pale pink or white color desired for the finished product . Looking iron calves lick urine -saturated or any metal part of their cabin slats. The farmers also deprive water , and thus , always thirsty , they drink a lot of liquid foods high in fat.
-Due to the extremely unhealthy living conditions and their negative supply , calves are susceptible to a long list of diseases including chronic pneumonia or ongoing diarrhea. Consequently, we must inject them massive doses of antibiotics and other drugs only to keep them alive . ( These antibiotics are found in the meat of the consumer). Calves often suffer from injuries caused by constant rubbing against the cage .
◕A Fate worse than death!
About 14 weeks after birth , calves are slaughtered . The quality of this "food" unhealthy and processed, filled with chemicals, low in fiber and nutrients , is another matter . The real issue is poverty calves. During their short lives , they never see the sun nor touch the ground nor see and never will taste the grass, their anemic body lacking proper food , their sore and atrophied muscles by deprivation of liberty and exercise they are also deprived of the love and care of their mother. They are kept in the dark , except during meals of two to three times a day for 20 minutes .
◕What You Can Do ?
-To stop the abuse , do not buy or do not eat veal and explain to your friends why , to your family and your neighbors . Talk to restaurant managers cruelties inflicted on calves and ask them to exclude it from their menu. Also , do not buy or do not eat dairy products, because the role of the dairy industry in the production of veal . Ask your governments to develop legislation that would ban the use of veal crates !

BRAVO!! L' ETAT DE L' OREGON RECONNAIT DES DROITS AUX ANIMAUX

 3801840598_a30282b836_o.jpg

SOURCE

LA COUR SUPREME DE L' OREGON RECONNAIT QUE LES ANIMAUX SONT PLUS QUE DES OBJETS ET QU' ILS ONT DES DROITS!!

Earlier this month, the Oregon Supreme Court released two important judgments recognizing that animals are more than merely property and have moral worth in the eyes of the law.

In one case, the court disagreed with the defendant that criminal animal cruelty laws are about protecting the public from immoral human behaviour. Instead, the court ruled that animals who have been abused are victims in their own right who deserve to be considered by the sentencing judge.

In the other case, the court created an exception to the usual requirement that law enforcement obtain a warrant to enter private property or seize an animal. The court ruled that if an animal is facing imminent harm, the animal can be removed, even from private property, without a warrant.

Although the law considers animals to be property, courts and legislatures are increasingly recognizing what animal advocates have long been saying: animals have moral worth and deserve to have basic rights protection.

The best way each of us can respect animals' rights to live free from harm and exploitation is to opt out of supporting industries that profit from animal suffering. ChooseVeg.ca has plenty of inspiration for eating in alignment with our ethics.

This video was captured by a PETA investigator at a leading supplier to other pig meat companies of pig semen and the sows who are artificially inseminated to produce more pigs to be slaughtered. It is the first-ever undercover look at the very beginning of the lives of animals who become bacon, pork chops, and sausages.
Nothing More Than Numbers
These clever and sensitive animals, who animal behaviorists have found are smarter than dogs, are identified by having a tag punched through their ears and become just another number inside the factory. Here are just a few of their stories:
  • One pig, known simply as 112688, struggled to stand and had to drag his hind legs across the filthy floor. Day after day, this pig lay barely moving. He was not even put out of his misery. Instead, he was loaded onto a truck and hauled to slaughter.
  • Pigs 112105 and 113436 sustained injuries that caused their internal tissue to protrude from their anuses. They were apparently denied veterinary care for up to five days and then hauled to slaughter.
  • Pig 115544, who was missing his tail, was left to die slowly without any apparent veterinary care for days in what workers called "the junk pen." This is where the company's injured, undesirable, and sickest pigs are kept. Pig 115544 was found dead six days after he was put in the "junk pen."
Widespread Misery
Many pigs' abdomens had huge bulges caused by protruding intestines. These pigs were also relegated to the "junk pen." Later, they were loaded onto trucks and taken to slaughter.
As is typical of most pig–breeding factories, mother pigs at this factory farm are confined to crates so small that they can't walk or even turn around. Pigs, who are known to be excellent mothers and who "sing" to their piglets, are kept in such restricted conditions that they can't shift positions while nursing without having a metal bar or prong pressing into them. The constant pressure of the hard, slatted floor and the metal bars rubbing against the sows' bodies causes gaping ulcers.
The company's vice president admitted that if pigs "don't get the treatments" they need, "they'll die." Dozens of pigs were found dead at the factory farm during the course of PETA's investigation.
If this is the best that the pig–breeding sector of America's pork industry has to offer, imagine the rest.
You Can Help!
Please share this video with everyone you know. And remember, the best thing that you can do for pigs is to refuse to eat them!
Suffering like that documented at this factory farm is widespread in the meat industry—including at slaughterhouses. Despite this, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) wants to cut its budget for regulating the slaughter of chickens and turkeys and slash the number of federal inspectors on slaughter lines, leaving slaughterhouses to police themselves with almost no government oversight. This program could hurt billions of animals every year.
Please urge Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to pursue more funding for slaughterhouse inspectors—not less!

In the United States, there is a clear separation between the animals we consider food and the animals we consider companion animals. Culturally, Americans consider dogs and cats companions, and animals like chickens and cows “food,” but in other regions of the world, animals that Americans consider friends or companions are one in the same with food animals. In fact, Animals Asia reports that an estimated 5 million dogs are slaughtered for food each year.
In some parts of Asia, dog meat is a traditional food source and is consumed during festivals, however, as you may imagine, there is much controversy surrounding this practice. The dog meat trade has evolved over time into a large scale, multi-million dollar trade. However, the trade is largely illegal or unregulated, and outbreaks such as rabies, cholera, and trichinellosis have resulted from the consumption of tainted dog meat.
Not only is the dog meat trade an issue of animal cruelty, but it is also a great public health concern. In an attempt to stave off these issues, the governments of Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam instated a five year ban on the movement of dogs between these four countries. The initial decision was put in place thanks to the help of Asia Canine Protection Alliance, with the belief that a moratorium would help control the spread of rabies between the countries.
A year later, the moratorium is working! In the past, nearly half a million dogs were brought between the four countries every year, but this year Animals Asia reports the import of dogs has been reduced to a “trickle.”
Animals Asia Vietnam director, Tuan Bendixsen, stated, “The ban has been more successful than we ever could have hoped for, and we have met with positivity from all the governments. It’s expected that when you plug the major route, several smaller routes will start to evolve, but we can be confident that this is on a far smaller scale than what was happening before.”
This is certainly a step in the right direction, and in tangent with the ban, the public demand for dog meat has also dropped significantly.
Animals Asia reported further, “With diminishing demand for dog meat, reports have suggested many dog meat restaurants are closing.”
This is a stunning example of how an integrative approach to a complex issue can be solved with the help of advocates on many levels. From the groups working to influence government policy and those on the ground spreading the word and facts about the harm done to public health, the dog meat trade appears to be on its way out. If this is the progress that has been made in just the first year, imagine what can be done in the next five!

PAYS BASQUES ....

he following is a response to the recent NY Times opinion piece by Rhys Southan, “The Enigma of Animal Suffering,” in which he concludes: “Exploitation is harmful only when the exploited are able to notice it and resent it.”
Some people outside the animal rights movement agree that inflicting suffering on animals is wrong, but challenge the notion that killing animals in order to exploit them is necessarily morally objectionable. Their premise is that if one could kill an animal for consumption without inflicting any distress or pain upon that animal, then the killing would not violate the interests of the animal. This is actually a position held by Peter Singer, the Princeton philosopher who authored Animal Liberation. Singer rejects the view that killing farmed animals is wrong, provided that the killing is truly painless.

Is This Dog Really Trying to Save the Fish Out of Water?

A video of a dog trying to place water on fish raises many interesting questions
Once again, I'm thankful to many people for sending me a link to a recent video called "Dog Tries To Save Fish Out Of Water", that shows a dog trying to place water over grounded fish. While some of the people were certain this is what the dog was trying to do—the dog acts with clear intention to sweep water on the fish by using his muzzle as a shovel or scoop—others weren't sure.
I've viewed the video a number of times, and while I'm not 100 percent certain this is what the dog is trying to do, I really can't think of any other reason for doing what the dog is doing unless this is a misguided attempt at burying (caching) the fish, perhaps for later consumption. I've lived with two dogs who often tried to bury bones in the corner of a carpeted room to the point of skinning their noses bloody without being able to cover the bones. Later, when I went and moved the "buried" bone, the dogs looked surprised that I found it. In this video, the dog goes from fish to fish performing the same watering action, so while the dog might be trying to bury the fish I'm not convinced this is what is happening.

Animal Suffering Isn't An Enigma So Let's Get Over It

A recent essay in the New York Times needs to be countered in many ways
Last week I received numerous emails about an essay published in the New York Times by Rhys Southan, a former vegan, called "The Enigma of Animal Suffering." Here, I just want to call your attention to this essay and also provide come comments because there are some conclusions Mr. Southan draws that are questionable based on solid evolutionary theory and detailed empirical research. To date, his essay has received 885 comments, and they contain much of what I mention below and much more.
Animals do what they need to do to be card-carrying members of their species and their suffering for them is as real as ours is for us
Mr. Southan's essay begins, "One of the most provocative tactics used by opponents of animal exploitation is to draw an analogy between human and animal suffering." While provocative and interesting, this tactic really isn't all that important in arguments about why animal exploitation is unethical and morally questionable. And, from an evolutionary point of view using Charles Darwin's ideas about evolutionary continuity, it's not all that sound. I've written about this in many different places, namely, that we need to look at the world of an animal from his or her own point of view, and solid theory and a plethora of solid data support that nonhuman animals (animals) do what they need to do to be card-carrying members of their species. They don't have to do what we do nor feel what we feel to be granted the right to a good life.
So, while the suffering of cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and other food animals might not be the same as ours or the same across species, this is not at all surprising and does not mean that they do not suffer in their own ways. Indeed, all mammals share the same neural apparatus and neural chemicals that underlie their emotional lives, so let's stop pretending that their suffering isn't as real for them as ours is for us. We accept that prelinguistic humans suffer, so not being able to say that this or that causes pain isn't enough to conclude that we don't know that other animals really suffer. They tell us they suffer physically and emotionally in many different ways, and anyone who's been around other animals knows this.
We also need to stop pretending that we don't know what other animals want and need. Of course we do -- they want to live in peace and safety just like we do. And, many scientists agree, and the number is growing, that consciousness and sentience are widespread in the animal kingdom, more so than previously thought, so it's not rocket science to conclude that other animals experience what we do in their own ways (please see "Scientists Finally Conclude Nonhuman Animals Are Conscious Beings" and "A Universal Declaration on Animal Sentience: No Pretending." And, of course, there are also individual differences among members of the same species, just as there are among humans. These individual differences in personality are incredibly fascinating and challenging to understand in nonhumans and humans. So, while cows may suffer differently from pigs, for example, individual cows likely suffer differently as well.
Along these lines, Mr. Southan writes, "Our perception of the external, of disturbing images or scenes, is sometimes a projection of our own feelings as observers; it does not match what the subjects of such treatment actually experience. Animal slaughter, for instance, looks gory and disturbing, but when the animals are knocked insensible first, the discomfort is our own — not theirs. For human analogies to animal farming to have force, the experience of being a farmed animal should be equivalent to the human experience in superficially similar circumstances. Is it safe to assume that a cow raised for food suffers the same general humiliations, agonies and frustrated drive for freedom that a human slave or victim of sexual assault or genocide does? If not, arguments equating animal suffering to human suffering are logically flawed."
Just because Mr. Southan feels that "arguments equating animal suffering to human suffering are logically flawed" does not mean that other animals do not suffer in their own ways (see for example, "Do "Smarter" Dogs Really Suffer More than "Dumber" Mice?"). A cow most likely does not suffer "the same general humiliations, agonies and frustrated drive for freedom that a human slave or victim of sexual assault or genocide does", but this is irrelevant. The cow suffers as a cow suffers, and not necessarily as a pig, lamb, or human suffers. And, frankly, I don't know what he means when he writes "the experience of being a farmed animal should be equivalent to the human experience in superficially similar circumstances." It's biologically incorrect to argue for equivalance within and among different species, so comparing the experiences of nonhuman to human animals is fraught with difficulties, and the word "superficially" is far too vague.
Do animals know they are going to die and does it matter?
Mr. Southan also considers a number of other areas that are used to justify meat eating. He cites Dr. Temple Grandin who claims that animals don't know they are going to die. While this may be so, we really do not have any detailed evidence that animals do not know they are going to die, including Dr. Grandin's rather casual observations. And, once again, it's irrelevant to the argument that it is wrong to exploit other animals in the ways that "food animals" and others are routinely and brutally mistreated. Mr. Southan writes, "If we can take animals to their deaths without their ever connecting the dots, then with the best animal farming the existential angst over their being exploited and doomed is almost certainly in our heads, not in theirs." Even if this assertion was true, so what. We are still unnecessarily taking a life for our own good and this does not mean the animals do not suffer along the way. Of course they do, and solid science shows that numerous other animals are sentient beings who endure deep suffering in many of the venues to which we subject them. Indeed, Dr. Grandin would have to agree, as she is world renowned for trying to make the lives of "food animals" "better" by walking along what she calls her "stairway to heaven" so they suffer less on their way to one's plate (please see "My Beef With Temple Grandin: Seemingly Humane Isn't Enough"). And, "better" does not mean "good enough" or marginally acceptable.
Is living a short and "happy cow life" good enough?
I encourage you to read Mr. Southan's essay and think about it deeply. I've considered many of his arguments and assertions and countered them in an essay called "Dead Cow Walking: The Case Against Born-Again Carnivorism." For example, I do not believe that living a short and "happy cow life," only to be killed -- double-crossed -- by those who supposedly love you, is better than no life at all. Mr. Southan appeals to the ideas of Greek philosopher Epicurus and Lucretious, his Roman protégé, to argue "it doesn’t seem cruel to breed animals into existence even while intending for their lives to be brief." I bet most people who share their homes with dogs, cats, and other companion animals would strongly disagree. And, of course, cows and other food animals are no less sentient than our household companions.
Animal suffering isn't an enigma so let's stop pretending it is
So, I don't think that animal suffering is much of an enigma at all, and surely no more than human suffering. Is there more to learn? Yes, there is. Do we know enough right now to stop the suffering immediately and to stop denying that we don't really know what animals want and need. Yes, we do. I'm surely not against philosophizing and conjuring up different scenarios, but it's time to pay attention to what we know about the cognitive and emotional lives of other animals supported by solid empirical research, and to use this information when we ponder how we should and should not treat other animal beings.

Today is an important day for millions of farm animals as our partner Nestlé announces its improved standards for farm animal welfare.

In 2014, we signed a worldwide partnership with Nestlé, one of the world's leading food brands, to grow their expertise on animal protection as a vital part of their Responsible Sourcing Strategy.
As Nestlé's key animal welfare partner, we have provided them with guidance to ensure that their new standards, policies and procedures have the highest possible levels of welfare for the animals involved in global food production.
Today, Nestlé made the momentous move to commit to adopting higher animal welfare standards with an announcement in The New York Times, 'Nestlé Moves Toward Humane Treatment of Animals at Its Suppliers'.
This commitment means lasting change for millions of farm animals around the world as the hundreds of thousands of farms that supply Nestle with its eggs, dairy, poultry and meat will have to comply with higher animal welfare standards.
Read the full article here. Below is an excerpt:
"Nestlé, one of the world’s largest food companies, is adopting animal welfare standards that will affect 7,300 of its suppliers around the globe, and their suppliers. The move is one of the broadest-reaching commitments to improving the quality of life for animals in the food system, and it is likely to have an impact on other companies that either share the same suppliers or compete with Nestlé...
...Under its new standards, Nestlé will not buy products derived from pigs raised in gestation stalls, chickens in barren battery cages, cattle that have been dehorned or had their tails docked without anesthesia and animals whose health has been damaged by drugs that promote growth.
Suppliers’ compliance will be audited by SGS, which specializes in verification. Looking over SGS’s shoulder will be World Animal Protection,"

We appreciate your support and wanted to send you a quick update on our work to help farm animals.
Back in June we posted on Facebook about shutting down India's only gestation crate facility, a swine farm seeking to introduce this intensive confinement practice into the country.

Sows confined in gestation crates aren't able to turn around and often can't lie down comfortably for months at a time. Such extreme confinement causes physical and mental suffering for these intelligent, sociable animals.

Closing the facility was a good start, but we also wanted to win broader and long-lasting protection for pigs, and we have good news to report! With further encouragement, the Government of Punjab has now issued an official direction making this type of intensive confinement an offense under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Officials in the government confirmed with us this week that their focus is now on alternatives.

See more about our efforts on our site. And thanks for standing with us as we continue to work to reduce the suffering of farm animals on factory farms!
Sincerely,

HORMONES DE CROISSANCE DANS LA VIANDE DE BOEUF EUROPEENNE

ENFIN LA VERITE  SUR LA VIANDE UE
SOURCE

Les produits laitiers, on l’a vu, c’est has been !

EBOLA, DOSSIER INTERESSANT

SOURCE

A bleak report issued today by the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) for the Ministry of Defense (MoD) on the ever growing Ebola virus apocalypse currently devastating a number of Western African nations (and so out of control that governments there have revived a disease-fighting tactic not used in nearly a century called the “cordon sanitaire”) is warning today that the “mysterious causations” relating to the spread of this disease cannot be ruled out as being “biowarfare in nature”.
Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF), this report says, is a disease that affects humans and primates caused by the Ebola virus and three other closely related viruses in the genus (group of related viruses) “ebolavirus”. It is a hemorrhagic fever, meaning that victims may bleed inside the body or externally, and it has one of the highest case fatality rates (death rates) of any disease, killing between 50% and 90% of victims and has an incubation period of 21 days.
From 1976, when Ebola was first identified, through 2013, this report continues, fewer than 1,000 people per year had been infected by this virus which was first isolated during outbreaks in the African nations of Zaire and Sudan.
The strain of Ebola that broke out in Zaire in 1976, FMBA experts in this report state, had one of the highest case fatality rates of any human virus ever recorded, roughly 90%, thus giving this disease its name because of its discovery on the Ebola River. [Note: Zaire is now known as the Democratic Republic of the Congo]
In April of this year, this report says, the French-founded international humanitarian-aid non-governmental organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) [aka Doctors Without Borders] reported an unprecedented outbreak of Ebola in the African nation of Guinea…not because of the number of victims (78 had died at that point) but because the disease had traveled to various parts of the country, and which had never happened in any other prior outbreak since 1976.
MSF, however, this report continues, remained sure of their ability to stop this disease in Guinea this past spring, despite its “unprecedented” spread, with their top tropical medicine adviser, Esther Sterk, stating: “We will manage to contain this outbreak in a short amount of time…
Far from containing this outbreak though, this report grimly notes, the MSF effort to control the Ebola virus in Guinea this past spring totally failed for as yet “unknown/mysterious” reasons thus causing the leading experts of this disease to declare in Washington D.C. last week that an “apocalypse is now underway” in Western Africa.
At last weeks Washington D.C. meeting on Ebola, this report notes, the US-based Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Director Dr. Tom Frieden stated that the number of infected and killed in this outbreak will likely “soon outnumber all other Ebola outbreaks in the past 32 years combined”.
According to the CDC, there have already been more than 1,700 suspected and confirmed cases of Ebola in West Africa, and more than 900 deaths—numbers that Dr. Frieden later called “too foggy” to be definitive.
FMBA experts in this report agree with Dr. Frieden’s assessment that the current death toll and infected rate of this Ebola outbreak is “too foggy” to be definitively known at this time, but further horrifically acknowledge that the estimates of Ken Isaacs, the vice president of Program and Government Relations for the international relief organization Samaritan’s Purse, that these current numbers “represent just 25 to 50 percent of what is happening” may be closer to being accurate.
Most “gravely alarming” about these Ebola deaths, this report continues, are that they include over 170 health care workers experienced with this disease, all of whom were “dressed head to toe in suits that are specifically designed to prevent the spread of the virus”.
Western news reports have, likewise, noticed the unprecedented infection rates and deaths of these highly trained expert Ebola healthcare workers too, and as exampled by the Zerohedge News Service in their article titled “The One Question About Ebola That Nobody Can Seem To Answer” and which, in part, states:
“That is the one question about Ebola that nobody can seem to answer.  The World Health Organization is reporting this as a fact, but no explanation is given as to why this is happening.  We are just assured that Ebola “is not airborne” and that getting infected “requires close contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person”.
I could understand a handful of “mistakes” by health workers, but this is unlike anything that we have ever seen in the history of infectious diseases.  These health workers take extraordinary precautions to keep from getting the virus.  If it is spreading so easily to them, what chance is the general population going to have?”
As one explanation as to why these over 170 expert health workers have died, this report further warns, can be found in the statements made last week by Doctor-Scientist Vladimir Nikiforov, (Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at the FMBA’s Institution of Advanced Training) who at a press conference in Moscow last week acknowledged that this Ebola virus may have been turned into a bioweapon.
According to Dr. Nikiforov, “Actually, this virus can be used in the form of a spray, which can lead to very big trouble. Biological weapons are nothing like a nuclear bomb… In order to make a nuclear bomb, one would require a uranium mine, a nuclear power plant and so on. But biological weapons are made in a small laboratory, which can be easily camouflaged. You know that there are rogue states. And here's the thing, I can’t guarantee that some country isn’t preparing something of the kind”.
Dr. Nikiforov’s words were, also, grimly echoed last week by his counterpart from Cambridge University, Dr. Peter Walsh, who warned the UK public that a terrorist could use the Ebola virus to create a dirty bomb.  The biological anthropologist told the Sun newspaper that he fears “large number of horrific deaths” if “a group manages to harness the virus as a power then explodes it as a bomb in a highly populated public area”.
To which “rogue state” would desire to weaponize the Ebola virus this FMBA report doesn’t say.
However, a MoD appendix to this report, which “grades” the nations able to make such an “apocalyptic weapon” from the Ebola virus and in the past has actually used them, the United States comes out on top as the “most likely” to not only be behind such an effort, but may actually have planned this outbreak to begin with.
As “mini war zones” continue to erupt in the US, this MoD appendix says, the police in that nation have been transformed from protecting the public into their protecting government from the public, with the worst offenders being those who “don't shape up and work slave-type  jobs for unlivable wages” consigned to their vast gulag of prisons or outright public execution.
Decades of social decay in the US, the MoD says, has created a situation in that nation that has reached the point where the thin veneer of civilization that they all take for granted every single day is wearing dangerously thin, and which a “timely” apocalyptic plague would help cure for their elite classes.
And to if the morality of these US elite classes would allow such a barbaric act to occur using a weaponized Ebola virus, this MoD appendix grimly concludes, one need look no further than Cristina Richie, of Boston College’s Department of Theology who argues for the genocide of babies (whom she labels “carbon legacies”) as a means of fighting climate change.
And in Richie’s own words: “A carbon footprint is the aggregate of resource use and carbon emissions over a person’s life. A carbon legacy occurs when a person chooses to procreate. All people have carbon footprints; only people with biological children have carbon legacies.
Through the use of ARTs (artificial reproductive technologies) multiple children are born, adding to worldwide carbon emissions. This is a burden on the already over-taxed ecosystem to support new beings who might not have existed without medical intervention. It is therefore the obligation of environmental policymakers, the ethical and medical communities, and even society to carefully weigh the interests of our shared planet with a business that intentionally creates more humans when we must reduce our carbon impact.”
And more simply put…in a nation that has one of their top religious universities professors arguing for the genocide of babies to “prevent” climate change…could anyone really say they wouldn’t also exterminate as many “useless eaters” as they could and knew they could get by with it?

Albanian police believe the five immigrants arrived from Eritrea by illegally emigrating to Europe through Greece. The immigrants are being tested in a hospital in Vlore, roughly 85 miles from Italy’s closest port. Earlier on Thursday, one person in Montenegro was quarantined and was suspected of carrying the Ebola virus. That person apparently got to Montenegro from a West African country.

Meanwhile, Serbian authorities have 14 people from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea or Nigeria under 21-day medical surveillance for fear they, too, may carry the Ebola virus, according to the Bulgarian newspaper Standart. If they do have the virus, they would be the first uncontrolled instances of the virus in Europe. A Spanish priest was the first European victim of the virus; he was flown to Madrid after contracting Ebola in Liberia.
